He was predeceased by: his parents, Otho B. "Jake" Ray and Irene Williamson Ray; his wife Mary Ellen "Midge" Steele Ray; his daughters, Theda Anne Tucker and Ineeda Jo Deaton; and his siblings, John G. Ray, Rex Eugene Ray, Orvel Ray, Jake Junior Ray, Leona Sue Morgan and Dorothy Mae Brown.
He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey A. (Debbie Ray) of Griffin, GA and Steven M. Ray of Sharpsburg, GA; his granddaughter Kealea (Jordan Roberts) of Moreland, GA; his great grandchildren, Rhett and River Roberts; and his siblings, Edward Ray of Wylie, TX, Baker (Shirley Ray) of Durant, OK, Faye Kite of Whitney, TX and Morene (Gary Norman) of Paris, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
