He was predeceased by: his parents, J. P. Knott and Catherine Calhoun Knott. He is survived by: his wife Doris Faye Knott; and his children, Wendy Alvonellos (Spyros), James Story (Kori), Nikki Knott and Renee Nelms (Mike).
