He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wade McCline Mayo and Frances Rhodes Rooney; his grandparents, Albert and Allene Moore; his wife Martha; his children, Chris Mayo, Sharon Moss of Sharon and Wade Mayo (Kendall) of Washington, Georgia; his granddaughters, Carly Mayo (Cameron) of Stapleton and Hannah Moss of Elberton, Georgia; his siblings, Michael Rooney (Laura), Rob Moore Rooney, Wade H. Mayo (Marlene) and Gina Bailey (Randall); and his cousin Nancy Sisson (Mickey). He was also cherished by numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
