With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lonnie Aldon Beavers of Shannon, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2024 at the age of 84. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lonnie Aldon Beavers to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luke Beavers and Velt Beavers; his daughter Angie Beavers; and his brother David Beavers. He is survived by: his wife Paulette; his children, Larry Beavers (Mattie) of Epworth, GA, Pam Wallace (Robert) of Jasper, GA, Edwena Cockrell of Rome, GA and Missy Jones of Rome, GA; and his sisters, Cloteen Alexander of Rome, GA, Connie Sorrells (Mike) and Faye Reece. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Salmon Funeral Home (2516 New Calhoun Hwy NE, Rome, GA 30161). A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens (2549 Shorter Ave, Rome, GA 30165).
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in loving memory of Lonnie and Paulette's daughter, Angie Beavers.
