He was predeceased by: his father Charles Amos Armstrong; and his brother Hubert Armstrong. He is survived by: his mother Jewel Mills Armstrong of Virginia; his wife Eva Collins Armstrong; his son Jeremy Lamar Armstrong (Theresa); his granddaughter Ravyn Skyy Armstrong; his stepdaughter Alicia Gibson; and his siblings, Kathy Tucker, Charley Armstrong, Wayne Armstrong and Brenda Jones. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
