She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin Benson and Mary Elizabeth Pittard Benson; her husband James Coursey Jr.; her children, Melissa Baldwin and Paul Coursey; and her brother Don Benson.
She is survived by: her sons, James (Betty Coursey) and Matt (Jessica Coursey); and her siblings, Juanita Johnson, Mary Nipper, Patsy Dickman, Elizabeth Askea and Jerry (Cathy Benson). She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren.
