He was predeceased by: his parents, C. L. Carter and Betty Kicklighter Carter. He is survived by: his daughter Blair Pirkle of Jesup; and his brothers, Rev. Darrell Carter of Screven, Danny Carter of Jesup and Harold Carter of Hope Mills, NC.
