With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Thornton (Screven, Georgia), who passed away on June 28, 2018 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Thornton; her parents, Robert Lee and Betsy Lee; her sons, Fred Thornton and Eddie Thornton; her granddaughter Debra Thornton; her great grandchild Jacob Thornton; her stepgrandson Franklin Crews; and her siblings, Clara Connelly of Jesup, Betty Crump (Parnell) of St. Marys and Bob Lee (Janice) of Jacksonville.
She is survived by: her son Ted Thornton of Screven; her daughters-in-law, Shirley Thornton of Screven and Christine Lewis of Baxley; her grandchildren, Stacy Thornton (Tammy) of Jesup and Brittany Thornton of Tennessee; her great grandchild Chase Thornton of Jesup; her stepgrandchildren, Amanda Mason, Angie Lee, Lisa Harris and Lamar Crews; and her son Elder Alvin. She is also survived by 13 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
