It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Vernon Smith of Screven, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Vernon "Buck" and Odean A. Smith; his nephew Vernon Arnold; his wife Lynn Smith of Screven; his children, Rebekah Kicklighter (Michael) and Derek Smith (Dana) of Screven; his grandchildren, Taylor Kicklighter, Nathan "Peanut" Rowland, Noah Kicklighter, Deren Smith and Deanna "Doodles" Smith; and his half-sister Bobbie Arnold of Surrency.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 1625 Sunset Blvd., Jesup, GA 31545.
