He was predeceased by: his wife Anne Wingate; his parents, Wallace Vernon Wingate Sr. and Anne Frances Wingate; and his sisters, Frances Litchfield and Dorothy Patrick.
He is survived by: his children, Wallace Craig Wingate, Jennifer Broyles, Judith Bolen and Jacqueline Manz (James). He is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel (2794 US-80, Garden City, GA 31408). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, April 7th 2025 at the Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery (1336 Dean Forest Rd, Savannah, GA 31405).
