He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Jernigan and Frances Goodman Jernigan. He is survived by: his wife Donnie Hall Jernigan; his children, Dorian Jernigan, Michele Wooten (Scott) and Nicole Hair (Thomas); and his brothers, Lloyd Jernigan (Peggy) and Dave Jernigan A.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that remembrances be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children or Hospice Savannah.
