It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Edwin Mitchell Jr. of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edwin Mitchell and Ila Mae Jones Mitchell; his grandson Drayton; and his brother Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Mitchell; his sons, Cory Mitchell (Dallas Gardner-Mitchell) and Eric Mitchell (Breanne); his grandchildren, Cohen, Porter, Waylen and Sagan; and his sister Ann Phillips. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the White Bluff Methodist Church (11911 White Bluff Rd, Savannah, GA 31419). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Reverend Dr. Barry Giddens will officiate. in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Savannah Botanical Garden or the Tybee Island Light Station And Museum.
