With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruby Watkins Booker of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As Ruby departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Ruby may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Ruby leaves behind.

She is survived by: her children, Ronald C. Booker (Monique) and Leslie Booker-Atkins (Freddie); and her siblings, Larry Watkins, Tina Watkins and Roberta Walker (John). She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Viewing was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Sylvania Funeral Home of Savannah (102 Owens Industrial, Savannah, GA 31405). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Connors Temple Baptist Church (509 W Gwinnett St, Savannah, GA 31401).
