It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lamar Helmly of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on September 24, 2022, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Lamar Helmly and Janet Mabel Linton Helmly. He is survived by: his children, Janet C. Helmly (Stephen) and Craig L. Helmly (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Maggie Helmly and Jackson Helmly; and his sisters, Phyllis Alford (Tommy) and Barbara Bucy. He is also survived by nephews and nieces.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the St Jude's Children's Hospital – 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-9959 as Buddy was an avid supporter.
