Watson; the father of her children Edward Irvin; her granddaughter Nicquaila D. Irvin (Alexander D. Thomas, Sr.); her great grandchildren, Alexander D. Thomas, Jr. and Alyse Ann R. Thomas; her siblings, Annie Bell Joiner (Raymond Joiner), Dora Coney, Lavonia Coney Moore, Deborah Coney, Antonio T. Coney, Dennis J. Coney, Sidney J. Coney, Rose Campbell and Carlece Bostic; her close friends, Col. Sylvester and Ivey Jean Brown; her nieces, Cheryl Wright, Pamela Wright, Linda Wright-Mathis and Terri Wright-Johnson; her goddaughter Rochelle "Tookie" Joiner; and her caregivers, J. B. Face and Shawanda B. Cutter. She is also survived by other relatives, and friends.
The lying in state was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Frank H. & Frenchye M. Bynes Memorial Chapel. Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Greater Owens Temple Ministries (4011 Rockdale St, Savannah, GA 31405). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the West Broad Seventh Adventist Church (2501 Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Savannah, GA 31415).
