He was predeceased by: his father William John "Bill" Chant; his brother Thomas Michael Chant; and his grandparents, Joseph Michael Carter and Thelma Carter Whiddon. He is survived by: his son-in-law Aubrey Chant Grant (Marcus); and his mother Mary Alice Carter Chant.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (501 S Coastal Hwy, Port Wentworth, GA 31407). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
