John Daniel Poppell Sr. Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Daniel Poppell Sr. of Savannah, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2024 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Allen Quincy Poppell Sr. "Pop" and Hallie Malphrus Poppell "Sweetheart". He is survived by: his wife Paula Bragg Poppell; his children, John Daniel Poppell, Jr. (Ingrid), James Scott Poppell (Krista) and Heather Poppell Singletary (John); his grandchildren, Quinton Parker Singletary (Gracie) of Vicenza, Jackson Bragg Singletary, John William Poppell, Mollie Amelia Poppell and Harper James Poppell; his sisters-in-law, Nancy B. Poppell, Carolyn H. Poppell and Susan B. Faulkner; his brothers, Allen Q. Poppell Jr., David L. Poppell and Robert E. Poppell Sr.; and his sister-in-law Joan G. Poppell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 26th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
