It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon S. Varnedoe (Savannah, Georgia), who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepdaughters, Nell McIntire Varnedoe and Catharine Eller Varnedoe; and his brother J. Kirk Varnedoe. He is survived by: his wife Catharine McIntire Eller; his stepdaughter Elise Bond Varnedoe; his siblings, Samuel Lamartine Varnedoe Jr. (Donnelly Marks) and Comer Varnedoe Immel (Otto Immel); his sister-in-law Elyn Zimmerman; and his brother Hayward Gignilliat. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made in his honor to Christ Church Episcopal and First African Baptist Church of East Savannah or the charity of your choice.
