Elaine Everette Simmons Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine Everette Simmons of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on September 27, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Everette and Katherine Everette; and her husband Elliott B. Simmons, Jr. of Savannah, GA.. She is survived by: her daughter Leslie Stroop (Scott); her grandchildren, Samuel, Bennett and Emma; her son Michael (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Griffin and Andrew; her son Stephen (Ally); her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Anna; and her brothers, Marvin (Sandy) and Robert (Suzanne). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel (7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406). A memorial service was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church (450 N Cromwell Rd, Savannah, GA 31410).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Wilmington Island Presbyterian Church, 450 N Cromwell Road, Savannah, Georgia 31410.
