It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donna DiGioia Katula of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Phillip DiGioia and Josephine DiGioia (Tegnelia); and her husband George Katula. She is survived by: her children, Michael Fleming (Haley) of Forsyth, GA and Sarah Katula of Raritan, NJ; her granddaughter Mahaila Fleming; her siblings, Diane Beninato (Steve) and Richard DiGioia (Angelia); and also Josephine DiGioia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel (7200 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. James the Less Catholic Church (8412 Whitefield Ave, Savannah, GA 31406).
