He was predeceased by: his parent Clifton Jones Sr. (Catherine Morgan Campbell); and his wife Ernestine Jenkins. He is survived by: his children, Edwin, Daryl, Glynda, Karen and Una Satchell Jenkins; his grandchildren, Jameelah, James and Jameel; his niece Gloria Brown; his sister-in-law Eloise Barnes; and his close friends, Clarence Holmes and Joe Lovett. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, friends.
Viewing will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Second African Baptist Church (123 Houston St, Savannah, GA 31401). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at the Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to Savannah State University, to the Education Scholarship Fund established in memory of Ernestine J. Jones and Nathaniel "Bunny" Jenkins (Ernestine's brother), who were educators.
