We are sad to announce that on September 17, 2024 we had to say goodbye to Charlotte Sowell of Savannah, Georgia, born in Swainsboro, Georgia. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peyton Lee Youmans and Sheriff of Emanuel County; and her husband John Edward Sowell. She is survived by: her children, John Gary (Beth Sowell), Lee (Robin Sowell) and Diane; her son-in-law John Silas of Metter, GA; and her grandchildren, Heather Silas, Johnny Silas and Christopher Silas.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel (7415 Hodgson Memorial Dr, Savannah, GA 31406). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 20th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Youmans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Southside Baptist Church (5502 Skidaway Road Savannah, GA 31406).
