It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Joyce Fischer of Savannah, Georgia, who passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ignatius Waizmann Rogers Sr. and Inez Womble Rogers; her husband Francis Joseph Fischer Sr.; and her siblings, Ignatius Waizmann Rogers Jr. and Ruth Rogers Martin.
She is survived by: her significant other Thomas Gnann of Savannah; her sons, Francis "Frank" Joseph Fischer (Charlotte) of Savannah, James "Jimmy" Anthony Fischer (Denease Mitchell) of Savannah and Ignatius "Nash" Allen Fischer (Tammy) of Savannah; her goddaughter Jennifer McFarlin of Savannah; and her grandchildren, Crystal Clifton, Joseph Fischer, Lacey Fischer, Erin Fischer and Cameron Fischer. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews, and great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Parish (7020 Concord Rd, Savannah, GA 31410). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
