She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolly P. Smith and D. A. Smith; her husband William K. Whitfield III; and her son Kenneth D. Whitfield. She is survived by: her daughter Wanda W.; her son-in-law Karl D. Bohnstedt, Sr.; her grandchildren, Margaret Ann Bohnstedt (L. Murphy Branson) and Karl "Dane" Bohnstedt, Jr. (Christian H. Bohnstedt); and her great grandchildren, Whitfield "Whit" L. Bohnstedt and Elouise M. Bohnstedt.
A memorial service was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Christ Church (28 Bull St, Savannah, GA 31401).
