She was predeceased by: her parents, D. C. Fortner and Juanita Shuman Fortner; and her brother Cecil Fortner. She is survived by: her husband Richard "Richie" C. Jones, Jr.; her children, Kari Jones Scott (Kenny) and Jonathan Jones (Stephanie); and her grandchildren, Abby, Julia and Zachary.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel (2794 US-80, Garden City, GA 31408). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Carol's memory to Hospice Savannah, reflecting her deep appreciation for their compassionate care.
