He is survived by: his father Aver "Allen" Thompson, Sr.; his sisters, Fran Powell (Derik) and Bonnie Johnson; his aunts, Jeanelle Strickland, Linda Wallace and Virlie Wilson; his uncle Bill Wilson; his nieces and nephews, Megan Jackson (Matt), Grace Horne, Christopher Powell (Ashley), Matthew Powell (Jenny), Garrett Powell and Jeremiah Johnson; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lindsey Powell, Savannah Powell, Landen Powell, Carter Powell, Barrett Jackson, Jedediah Johnson, Baker Jackson, Benjamin Johnson and Beckett Jackson.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (41 Main St, Savannah, GA 31408). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (315 Greenwich Rd, Savannah, GA 31404).
