He is survived by: his children, Tina Pinion (Andy), Danielle Ivey (Todd) and Shane Brookins; his partner's daughter Donna; and his siblings, C. V. Brookins (Florence), Shelia Bridges (Glenn) and Faye Robinson. He is also survived by grandchildren; great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
