He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Taylor and LaVada Smith Taylor; his daughters, Barbara Jean Simmons, Elizabeth Taylor, Annie Taylor and Naomi Hilton; and his siblings, James Taylor, Russell Taylor, Amos Taylor, E. T. Taylor and Dora Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Jimmy Taylor (Doris) of Dublin, GA, James Taylor of Dublin, GA, Gary Taylor (Bernestine) of Dublin, GA, Herbert Taylor of Grovetown, GA and Jackie Fields of Dublin, GA; his sister Eunice Mae Taylor of Wrightsville, GA; and his sons, Bobby Freeman of Augusta, GA, Willie Freeman (Paula) of Savannah, GA and Kerry Freeman (Ivonda) of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wheeler's Funeral Home (321 E McCarty St, Sandersville, GA 31082). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (450 Oak Grove Rd, Sandersville, GA 31082).
