He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mark Stanley and Betty Jones Upshaw; and his son Michael Grisdale. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Stanley; his children, Brian Stanley (Carmen), Ray Stanely, Amie S. Stevick (John), Patricia Ridley, Serena Banks (Curtis) and Patrina Owens (Chris); his brother Mark Stanley (Beverly); and his aunt Linda McDaniel. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.
