He was predeceased by: his parents, Toombs Bridges and Essie Black Bridges; his wife Jean Carey Bridges; his great great grandchild Tatum Waters; and his siblings, Pierce Bridges and Elizabeth Bridges Williford.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betty Jean Bridges Lanthrip of Sandersville, Geraldine Bridges Hodges of Sandersville, Linda Sue Bridges Batten (Danny) of Tennille, Barabra Ann Bridges Elliot of Davisboro and Sherry Lynn Bridges Patisaul (Randy) of Rentz. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests donations be made in Reverend Bridges' memory to Kendall Heights Church of God, 829 Jordan Mill Road, Sandersville, GA 31082.
