She was predeceased by: her husband Benjamin F. Smith; her son Nathaniel Hartley; and her mother Barbara Elizabeth Usry Hartley. She is survived by: her children, Benjamin Thomas Smith (Megan) of Harrison, Amy S. Lord of Davisboro, Bobby Smith (Marie) of McIntyre, Laurie S. Weaver (Joe) of Indiana, Rebecca S. Valentine of Indiana and Lamar Smith (Stephanie) of Gordon; and her siblings, Douglas Landrum of Gordon, Mary Jane Allen (Mike) of Toomsboro, Thomas Watson Hartley Jr. of Toomsboro and James Edward Hartley of Macon. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
