He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith Hines; his children, Erica Hines-Wilson, Creshauna Darrisaw (Alvin Jr.), Sherrie Foreman (Marlo), Scottie Lucas (Tarneshia) and Anthony Hines (Cantrell); and his siblings, Betty Swint, Nadine Hooks, Allene Arline, Valene Horn, Maxine Wiley (Zelma), Pearlene Rogers (Johnny), Wilmer Hines (Flossie) and J. T. Lyman. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, one great grandchild; several other relatives and friends.
