He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe B. Edwards and Ophelia Williams Edwards; and his wife Barbara JoAnn Johnson Edwards. He is survived by: his sons, Michael W. Edwards and Darren Edwards; his siblings, Geraldine Ricks, Marjorie Hayes, John C. Edwards, Stacey Edwards and Harry Edwards; his grandchildren, Michael Edwards, Callie Spence and Jason Edwards; and his close friend Opal DeBarry. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
