He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edward and Clara Hudson Thomas Echols, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Harris Echols of St. Simons Island; his sons, Thomas Edward "Ted" (Margaret Echols, Jr.), John Thomas "Harris" (Tricia Echols) and James Ivey "Jake" (Kelli Echols); his brother Earl Edward Echols, Jr. of Patterson; and his grandchildren, Edie, Tom, Thomas, Luke, Jack, Sarah Kate, Addyson Rose, Ivey and Jake. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
