She was predeceased by: her mother Janie Juanita Arnold Smith; her husband Walter Smith; her children, Grady Hurt and Carol Robinson; her father Clinton Smith; her sister-in-law June Smith; and her nephew Stuart Smith.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Hurt (Teresa), Miles Hurt and David Smith (Karen); her stepchildren, Walter "Terry" Smith, Lynda Oswald, Ellen Verroi, Thomas Smith and Timothy Smith; her grandchildren, Laura Dahlgren, Janie Ivester, Mia Kilby, Megan Pollet, Hannah Hurt, Matthew Hurt, Ashley Hurt, Austin Hurt, Grady Smith, Sage Smith, Auggie Smith, Elsie Smith, Toma Chernyshev, Aurora Smith, Liberty Smith, Eve Smith, George "Jamie" Duc, Jennifer Oswald, Julia Oxendine, Skipper Oswald, Adrienne Rowlin, Adam Smith and Amber Smith; her brother Tommy Smith; her nephew Scott Smith; and her cousin Dickie Smith. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Moores Funeral Home & Crematory (301 S Wayne St, Milledgeville, GA 31061).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Judy's honor may be made to St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Blue Ridge, Georgia, or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, both of which she faithfully supported. Keep Jewel's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
