He was predeceased by: his father Richard Paul Norton; his son Richard Cody Norton; and his granddaughter Penelope Kodi. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Norton; his mother Margaret Norton; his children, Shawn Norton, Heather Clark and Marinna Morris; his siblings, Steve Norton, Paula Moreland and Lisa Norton; and his grandchildren, Zoie, Baylee, Kendall, Kacie, Madeline, Mason, Shawn Jr. and Mia.
