He was predeceased by: his parents, Tyrus Brinson and Lucy Phillips Brinson; his brothers, Wendell, Virgil and Louie; and his friend Gloria Smith Gardner.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Brinson (Karen) and Kimberly Brinson-Fox (Evan); his grandson Cole Brinson; and his sister Montell Truitt of Stuart, FL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
