He was predeceased by: his parents, James Daniel and Mary Daisy Purvis; his wife Alice Purvis; and his son James Purvis, Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Jeanette Turner (Brian) of Antioch, CA; his stepdaughter Linda Wilhelm (Ed) of Kensington, MD; and his siblings, Carl Purvis (Jan) of Greer, SC and Louise Chapman of Bainbridge, GA..
