He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold George Avery, Sr. and Maggie Francis Wells Avery; and his brother Harold Avery, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Susan Nash Avery of St. Marys; his sons, John Avery (Beth) of Newnan and Ken Avery (Melissa) of Daytona Beach, Florida; his grandchildren, Wesley Avery, Dale Avery, Kathy Avery, Jonathan Avery (Rebecca) and Kelsey Gentry (Chris); his great grandchildren, Addie Gentry, Lily Avery and Jules Avery; and his sister Arlene Downs of Stockbridge, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
