It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald Butler of Saint Marys, Georgia, born in Ozark, Alabama, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Lonie Dale Wood Butler of St. Marys, GA.; his wife Gillian Butler of St. Marys, GA.; his children, Donald David Butler (Andrea) of Minneapolis, MN, Major Steven Butler (Desirae) and Jessica Butler (Mike) of Liberty Hill, TX.; his siblings, Charmayne Butler Sanders (Barry) of Dothan, AL and Anthony DeShawn Butler (Heidi) of Filer, ID.; his mother-in-law Joyce Smith; his grandchildren, Elliot, Delilah and Milo; and his father Don Butler.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Allison Memorial Funeral Home (10141 Colerain Rd, St Marys, GA 31558). The military honors was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Fisher House Foundation.
