He was predeceased by: his parents, Gonzalo Angel and Edita Pimentel Angel; his son Richard J. Angel; and his sisters, Zenaida Hapa, Normina Pascual and Flor Angel.

He is survived by: his wife Juanita Angel of St. Marys; his children, Gerald J. Angel of St. Marys and Amanda Faleschini (Peter) of Fort Mill, SC; his grandchildren, Isadora, Sawyer, Wyatt and Asher Faleschini; and his siblings, Laura Bartollo (Delfin), Jose "Pepe" Angel (Elsa), Marito Angel (Ciana) and Reynaldo Angel (Annabelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
