He was predeceased by: his parents, John Homer Young and Martha Beatrice Neal Young; his wife Georgia Ware Young; his siblings, John Young, Carolyn Collum and Sara Findley; and his brother-in-law Alton Temples.
He is survived by: his stepson Benji Baggett; his stepgrandchildren, Mattie Baggett Lucas Baggett and Claire Smith; his siblings, Jimmy Young (Nancy), Wilma Findley, Martha Temples, Mary Jane Self (Ronnie) and Mamie Pierson (Randy); his siblings-in-law, Tammy Young, W. D. Collum and Michael Findley; and his close friend Barbara Finney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
