“Met Uncle Pen in 1972 at a bluegrass festival, later we shared our love of bluegrass with Uncle Pens Pickin. He and Inez always treated me like family. I always enjoyed playing music with Leonard and his brother Ray. Used to see him every year at the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame where he would play with the Fiddlers on stage. I have put up some photos of Uncle Pens Pickin. He was a fine man, musician and friend and will be missed by many.”
