He is survived by: his wife Marie Hughes of Rutledge; his children, Cindy Hughes Underwood of Duluth and Ed Hughes of Marietta; his grandchildren, Traci Cronan, Lauren Hughes and Clark Hughes; his great grandchildren, Rachel Cronan and Emily Cronan; his sister Frankie Sue Freeman (Hankie) of Gainesville; and also, James of Duluth and Lisa of Marietta.
