Alan Shepherd Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 20, 2024, at the age of 70, Alan Shepherd of Rutledge, Georgia, born in Madison, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Bonny Shepherd and Elease Hawk Shepherd; and his brother-in-law Hunter Valentine. He is survived by: his wife Sara Shepherd; his children, Walter Alan Shepherd (Victoria) and Gray Shepherd; his granddaughter Sara Gray Fuller; his brother Mark Shepherd; his brother-in-law Jerry Thomas (Paula); and his father-in-law William Jerry Thomas, Sr.. He is also survived by several nieces, a nephew.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Rutledge Methodist Church or to the Rutledge City Cemetery Fund at PO Box 129 Rutledge, GA 30663.
