He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Sapp and Charlotte Tyson Sapp; and his brother Mitchell Sapp. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Sapp of Rupert; his children, Mitchell Sapp of Rupert, Ryan Sapp of Americus and Staci Cox (Matt) of Reynolds; his siblings, Milton Sapp (Pam) of Rupert, Alma Oliver (James) of Rupert and Elaine Story (Buster) of Laurel Springs, NC; and his grandchildren, Gracie, Cahlen, Kimmie, Preston Cox of Reynolds and Katalina Cofield of Tuscaloosa, AL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
