She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Peterson and Mary Anthony Peterson; and her daughter Christa Morthland. She is survived by: her husband Armando Melhorn, Sr. of Royston; her children, AJ Melhorn (Kristin) of Commerce, Anthony Melhorn (Jessica) of Philipsburg, PA, Andria Krause (Aaron) of Houtzdale, PA and Amanda Shubert (Tanner) of Colbert; and her siblings, Edna Winters of Dover, PA, Samantha Zimmerman of Carlisle, PA, Mark Peterson of North Pole, AK, Robert Peterson of York, PA, Russell Peterson of Dover, PA and Scott Zimmerman of Carlisle, PA. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Nicholson Baptist Church (71 Church St, Nicholson, GA 30565).
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Melhorn's memory.
