He is survived by: his children, Raeshonda Thornton, Michael A. Mayfield, Jr., Kendall Smith and Reginald Smith; his mother Rosa Turner Mayfield; and his siblings, Davie Mayfield, Sr., Clifford Jones, Nellie Hayes, Clara Dunbar, Betty Major, Patricia Levit and Sandra Thornton. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Social distance and facemasks are required to attend the service.
