It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Porterfield of Royston, Georgia, who passed away on May 17, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle Raymond Porterfield and Gladys McGarity Porterfield; his wife Geneva Crook Porterfield; and his half-brother Greg Myers. He is survived by: his stepchildren, Theresa Fowler (Tony) of Bowersville and Julian Roach; his sister Gearlene Sullivan of Lavonia; his half-brothers, Lamar Myers of Lavonia and Dwight Myers of Hartwell; his grandchildren, Rhonda, Mercedes and Camry; and his great grandchildren, Taylor, Haley and Hannah.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 202 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis TN 38105.
