He is survived by: his wife Patricia Huggins Southers; his children, April Murphy of Commerce, GA and David "DJ" Southers Jr.; his daughter-in-law Stacy of Gainesville, GA; his son Greg "Brian" Roberts of Gainesville, GA; his sisters, Janie Southers of Gainesville, GA and Carolyn Collins; his brother-in-law Eddie Headrick of Gainesville, GA; his brother Michael "Mike" Southers; his sister-in-law Kim of Gaffney, S. C.; his close friend David Hicks of Dahlonega, GA; and his grandchildren, Cayla, Colton and Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Little-Ward Funeral Home (115 State St, Commerce, GA 30529). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home (115 State St, Commerce, GA 30529).
